Unknown Content-Encoding: deflate (no replies)

When the web page response header is: Content-Encoding: deflate ,
the freerapid is error, can't read the response stream.
How to resolve it?

It's FreeRapid-0.9u4
When I test it , it's work fine.
but i put it into the freerapid as a plugin, it has this error !!

Hi brother,

first of all my english is not so good so please excuse me for this.
now problem is i have added an file for download from uploadbazz.com every time when i resume the file after pausing it, shows me file already exists error and provide me three option rename rewrite and cancel. when i click any of them file resumed as usual but that's is not main problem problem is during file downloading it shows same error after a time period. if i don't respond this error it will pause the file and shows error in downloading. please try to fix this bug in next update. thanks in advance and also i am a big fan of you.(tu)

Just Stopped on Splask Screen (4 replies)

Hi All!
A few days ago FRD stopped loading, it only loads the splash screen and then stops.
I have been using FRD for a long time with no problems both on Win XP and on 7.
I do not use Eset programs.
I tried all sorts, searched and tried out the solutions about this in the forum.
I turned on debug and below is the log file.
I really like FRD and cannot imagine doing without it.

Proxy detection problem (2 replies)

Since maybe month or two i am having problem using proxies, no matter what proxies i use, they are not being accepted as the right format.
In the log i see:

I tried to reinstall (deleted program files and user data folders), but did not help.

Can you advise please?

Atom was 0


The reason of error is pretty tricky. I'm connected to linux desktop over xrdp from windows and there is some issue with clipboard. When I try to paste, or turn on clipboard monitor, in frd, it crashes. I think some try-catch-ignore feature will be great in this case.

W10 x64 FreeRapid loop bug downloading new plugins (no replies)

W10 x64 FreeRapid loop bug downloading new plugins

I'm a new Windows 10 x64 user (current build) but used FreeRapid already before with W7 x64...

I'm currently in the process of reinstalling everything I had before on the older OS...

I've installed Java jre-8u66-windows-i586.exe & jre-8u66-windows-x64.exe and then FreeRapid.

I clicked the update option, it was sucessfull (399 plugins updated) but at the end it does nothing, if I click again, all 357 plugins are again downloaded.... Tried to quit and test again, same thing, weird loop !

Any idea what could be the cause please?

I've admin rights and disabled UAC...

I've used RegOwnit to set registry permissions for my account.

I've installed the free software "Disable Windows 10 Tracking" v2.2.4 and disabled everything. (I hate spying).

I'm also using Comodo Firewall and blocked some Windows processes that I thought should not be allowed to connect out... But I might have blocked too much... That said, FreeRapid seems able to check for plugins and download them... Unfortunately it seems it does not keep them at the end of the process.

I tried to update again and again...
Suddenly I saw some errors for few plugins:

ERROR:C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VitySoft\FRD\plugins\

I took a look at:

C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VitySoft\FRD\plugins

It seems something like the first 20 plugins were downloaded successfully and then I get ERRORS (.part) for all others plugins.

I copy-pasted the plugins from a backup and now it works!
So there must be an annoying bug for new users...
You should integrate plugins in the release package and update it every month.

FRD Java error when running from VBS or Task scheduler (1 reply)

When I start FRD.exe from VBscript (wshshell.Run), or from Windows Task Scheduler (scheduled task),
the application starts, but a critical error occurs:

Version for Synology NAS (no replies)

Hi all,

is there any possibility to run this great app on Synology NAS server? I have a NAS server DS415+ and I'd like to use this app directly on this NAS. Now I run this app on my computer and folder where I save files is on the NAS. This is a problem, when I want to disconnect computer. If this app would work on Synology NAS in DSM, it would be perfect.

I'd appreciate if someone will create Synology NAS version. I'm ready to make some donation.

Hello,
during this day and the following ones we are migrating server to another hosting.
We will also upgrade SVN from version 1.6 to version 1.8 so please don't use SVN these days for updates. Keep your local changes for some time.
Please report problems if you encounter something.

I will let you know when it's done.

Old IP is 212.20.102.77, the new IP is 185.8.165.123.



At this time new instance of "svn.wordrider.net/svn" is running on port 8080.
So please use svn.wordrider.net:8080/svn if necessary.
We are working on it to make it work on :80 again.

FRD crash/freeze - java out of memory error (no replies)

Hi
after a move to Win10Pro 64bit (TH2 aka 1511 aka build 10586) FRD started to freeze/crash while downloading.
In my previous environment (Win7Pro 64bit) everything was ok.

If it freezes, it finishes downloads in background, keeping temporary file naming (suffix: ..part) and file content ok.
If it crashes, FRD quits, javaw keeps running and FRD can not be started againg until javaw is killed via taskmanager.

Additional info about my environment:
Java version 8 Update 66
Eset Smart Security 9.0.351.2 (FRD path excluded from Antivirus, both FRD.EXE and JAVAW excluded from HTTP protection as ESS used to break some transfer startups - e.g. uloz.to)

does anyone know how to fix this odd behavior?

Could you please, please kindly put PAUSED back to orange?? (no replies)

Or please, at least make that available as a Settings option.

I often have my FRD loaded with hundreds of links, and wold really appreciate if PAUSED (pink) would not look so similar to ERROR (lighter pink).

Is that so much to ask?

Is it? Is it? It's been many FRD versions since, and this still wasn't corrected and it still irritates me.

I'm hoping for something in the next FRD update. The pause BUTTON is orange, please kindly make paused links orange as well. Not pink.

Also, CANCELED links should be red (and not pale pink) again corresponding with the red cancel button.

Is it so much to ask the logical coloring? I use the Acryl look, by the way. Always. (since the beginning).

FRD freeze after start (4 replies)

After start of program it freeze completly (after the main window is showed) and I had to kill the java process. It was shortly after I updated to latest Java, so I spent half an hour to reinstaling java (several times and end with 1.8.0_71) and deleting all program directory files and re-extractig program again. Still no luck.

Finally I found that program plugins are stored in c:\Users\%userName\AppData\Roaming\VitySoft\FRD after delete it. It's all fine, even after I update all pugins.

Please add this to known bugs to save time to other people.

Fatal Error at launch (12 replies)

Hi.

I have been happily using the app for a year or two. All of a sudden, when launching it, i get this message:

"Error.
Fatal error.
This is unexpected error, which can lead to application instability. An application restart may help. Please report this error to the authors."

When i close this dialog box, the app is open, but links that are activated do not start. They remain in QUEUED status.

I have Quit and restarted the app, my finder, and my computer many times, but the problem remains.

When i try to send the Report through the app, i get an error saying there are no enabled connection settings for creating connection. I imagine that's the root of the problem, but i don't think i ever changed anything, and i'm unsure where to go to fix this.

When i now look at the INTERNET CONNECTION SETTINGS, the entire panel is blank. Not sure if it was like this when it was working....

Hi.

I've always found it a bit strange you don't have direct download of your program on your own site.

I just got new computer. Therefore, after many years, I had to actually download FRD, not just update it.

As I clicked on your provided link
[wordrider.net]
not only I have discovered it leads to UL (which I hate, by the way), but also that they already deleted the file (which, frankly, has not surprised me).

Fortunatelly, sites like softonic and similar, also offer FRD download. I'll try there.
I just find it a bit weird.

Unable to check for new plugins (3 replies)

Hi there,

When I go Help > Check for new plugins I get the error message: "Checking for new version failed. null"

It lets me check for new versions of the program itself, but not plugins.

I think my plugins are out of date (although I only downloaded FreeRapid Downloader today) as I can't download links through uloz.to - i think i need the ulozto_captcha plugin. Currently if i try to download i'm met with the following error in the Est. time column:
ERROR - with defined action containing ‘do=downloadDialog-freeDownloadForm-submit’ was not found!

It's not a problem with my general connection as i'm currently downloading several files through FRD from mega.co.nz

Any help much appreciated, thanks!

hello, in recent times when I leave the FreeRapid night working the next day I get an error when copying a URL and when I tell you actualize gives me connection error when I close and restart returns to normal, I use a new copy and does the same after a while, the command log, I have xp sp3 and java 6 update 45, if I update java does not work, thanks

Hi all,

am I the only one, whose FRD on Linux freezes and has to be killed? It becomes totally unresponsive after a few seconds or minutes, depends on what I am doing there. FRD is a great program and I would like to donate, but can't with such a major bug which denies me to use it on my primary system platform. On Windows it runs fine. I'm running on Linux Mint 17.3.
