freerapid 0.9u4 can or not write the ending file in mp4? (2 replies)

Hello,

i want to know, if freerapid 0.9u4, can write the file in ending in mp4?

and how make that possible?








In french, my language:


je souhaiterais savoir, si la version la 0.9u4, fait encore le format mp4?

ou je me rappelle avoir fait une manip, pour que le fichier final soit écrit au format mp4, dans une version précédente
mais je ne me rappel, plus comment j'ai fait.

lorsque, je met le nouveau dossier freerapid-0.9u4(nouvelle installation) , j'ai vu que les fichiers était plus nommé, en mp4, dans l'affichage graphique de freerapid, mais en flv.

How to use the proxy feature properly? (1 reply)

Okay, I tried several times to use proxies with FRD, but none of them worked so far... So I guess I could get some directions from you guys.

I tried to use the IP:PORT free proxies which HideMyAss provides.

Here's the link: [proxylist.hidemyass.com]

You can sort them with various criteria of your taste and pick up the ones you want.
But... Thought it would work on FRD just by placing the Server IP and Port. Well... That works on Firefox. However I can't get it to work on FRD.
The only way to enable the 'Proxy Configuration' option is by checking the "Use default system connection" option. It's gonna filter so...

Well I need some help. I don't know what else to do. I also tried to change the protocols from HTTP to SOCKS, but no success.

Please list the steps to take if possible, with HideMyAss for example.

Zdravím.
Tak jsem si pořídil Raspberry pi s raspbianem a chtěl vyzkoušet tanto vynikající stahovač.
S úžasem jsem zjistil že bez jakýchkoliv problému funguje.
Gratulují - užasne.
Zajímalo by mně, jak je to s tímto programem přes terminal.
Spouštět ho přes něj jako konzolí, to bych así chtěl moc.
Ale takové to okno, kde se přidávají linky pro stahovaní?

FRD cannot load (odb?) database , before exit warning sometimes critical errors .
New start cannot load database.
Size :185 MB - about 1500 links with large messages .
How can I edit (odb ??) file making less size ?
Java version the latest !

Virusscanner wait too long time ending the file (1 reply)

Sometimes virusscanner works downloaded files about 15-20 minutes , but the frd closing connection too early in (1-3) minutes. The file never been ended , and not countiunable. Wait time for ending the file should be a new feature (menu item) in frd . In browser file can be finished in 10-30 minutes at the end ,and connection keep alive by about zero data transfer speed. Is this possible correct this problem ?

I have attempted to uninstall, reinstall, and run fixes on java to get Free Rapid Downloader to work, but all to no avail.
I went to the CMD prompt and typed in "frd.exe --debug" but received nothing back.
I then typed in frd.bat and received the following 3 errors:

frd.bat when run in cmd mode:

Error: opening registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment'

Error: could not find java.dll

Error: Could not find Java SE Runtime Environment

I have been having problems with Java, but the FRD ran find until I decided to try and update it (which didn't happen because Java update is definitely broken).
I then tried to uninstall all of Java versions and reinstalling, but lo and behold, that really screwed things up and nothing that uses Java would work.
I was finally able to get the Java Control Panel applet working again, after much frustration, but the FRD and some other programs that use Java on my computer refuse to work now.

Can anyone help me with this?
I have tried every known solution that Google came up with, all to no avail.

Hello all,

Need some help please.

This is the only piece of software that will help me, usually, to download things from the BBC iPlayer, and ITV, etc, in the UK, however I have come across a problem and I was wondering how I can go about resolving it.

I am originally from the UK but I have recently moved to Denmark. I was missing the BBC from home so I found a website, which I pay for, called Unblock-Us which, after using a little piece of software they provide, makes my computer think that it is still in the UK and lets me get access to the BBC iPlayer and the other UK tv online players.

Before, when I was in the UK, I could just copy the URL from the iPlayer website, paste it into the Free Rapid and it would download wonderfully but now, even though I am using that proxy thing that makes my comp think it is still in the UK, I cannot download anything from the iPlayer now, I keep getting error messages like 'This video is not available in your area' (despite me still being able to play it on the BBC website itself) or the other error which doesn't download it and times out and then after 2minutes, it repeats itself.

How can I get around this? I am missing all my UK faves and I would like to be able to download them again.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi,
I can't seem to be able to move FRD window: I can only resize it at the bottom right but either there's no bar on top of the menu(File, Downloads,Options,View,Help) or either the bar has been shifted off the accessible screen. The reason is I have 2 screens but I would like to move FRD to my second screen but I can't move or resize somehow to move it to the second screen.
I tried to exit FRD and come back, turn off Computer but still the same problem when I return to FRD.
I attached with this message my screen to show you the problem.

doesnt work (FRD closes when I start it) (3 replies)

Dear friends, a few second after I execute the software and when it try to connect, suddenly shut off. I tried to debug it and installed again (without uninstall because I have many links in it) but it looks that there is no solution. Looking inside the folders, there is not any log.
How to repair it?
If it is not possible, how to save the links in it, to uninstall clean and install again?

Hello everyone,

I've been using freerapid for a very long time. Zero problems. A few days ago I had 5 or 6 things downloading in freerapid. Left the room, came back a short time later and freerapid had completely shut off. So, I fired it up again. It asked me if I wanted to overwrite the files I had been downloading on the previous session. It's never asked me that before. Not knowing what to do, I just told it to overwrite. The downloads started after that per what is usual. I sat and watched for a while and just as I was thinking it was a one time fluke, the program vanished, just blinked off. So, I started it again. Everything I just described happened a 2nd time. Then a third. And a fourth. I am totally mystified. I reinstalled the program. No change.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any help would be awesome. Thank you very much.

Link auto-detect not working (9 replies)

Hi. I have always loved the link auto-detect feature in FRD but lately it has stopped working. Now, with clipboard monitoring on, it will only add a link if I copy the actual hyperlink on the page, which means I can no longer copy multiple links on a page and have them all added to FRD in one go.

I have tried deleting the config files and re-installing but that hasn't cured it. Any ideas..?

My FreeRapid crashes when I tried to start it. I remember deleting the history fixed it last time. But I can't find the history folder now. Does anyone know where the history file is located? Thanks.

FRD CYCLING FOR DOWNLOAD LIST (no replies)

When trying to download a file from multiple PDF files, and indicates cyclized FRD 999 files, but did not exceed 200 in the description.

Now every time I open FRD is still cycling but now brand 24556 files per download, and every time I open it further increases the download list.

I hope the translation used with google understood

Al intentar descargar una carpeta de varios archivos de PDF, FRD se cicla e indica 999 archivos, pero no pasaban de 200 en la descripcion.

Ahora cada vez que abro FRD se sigue ciclando pero ahora marca 24556 archivos por descargar, y cada vez que lo vuelvo a abrir se incrementa mas la lista de descarga.

Espero se entienda la traduccion usada con google

FRD and screen resolution (2 replies)

I have just bought a new laptop with a whopping 3200 x 1800 resolution (Dell XPS 15). Images are great but some programs such as FRD give a problem with the toolbar buttons and display fonts being a fixed pixel size and thus being too small to easily see.

I can foresee this becoming an increasingly problem as the laptop displays improve. I have tried decreasing the screen resolution to help legibility but FRD seems to over-ride the display setting and always present very small fonts, menus and toolbar buttons. The attached file illustrates how FRD looks on my new display.

Would it be possible for the developers to look at some way of fixing the display element sizes as a fixed proportion of the screen size rather than a number of pixels? Some programs (e.g. WinFF) seem to do this already and cope perfectly with the high screen resolution.

Hi,

I just wanted to say "thank you" to anyone who have the great idea for the "Ctrl+L" (Remove Completed Links + Delete Files), it wiped out everything I did.
You could have at least move to the Recycle Bin, it would have helped me recover mistakenly pressed buttons.

So could you please rethink of such simple suggestion?
